Al,
As an Alaskan homesteader, I took great interest in reading your well-written article on the week you spent at The Tracker School. I, too, took the Standard many years ago.
After reading your article on your week at the Tracker school, I went further and read the "groupie" email, which, by the way, hit the proverbial nail square on the head. I concur with them, especially after looking at the home page of your business, a virtual "preying on the fears of society" plethora of social band-aids, but NOTHING with true substance.
The things you accuse Tom of, sir, you are also guilty, except you seem to prey on an unsuspecting clientele who come to suck whatever tit you hand them. It is definitely too bad you didn't see beyond the bunny/tree hugging and true survival skill part of the school and learned the spiritual application that Tom imparts in ALL facets of his teaching, school, and life. If you had been able to look beyond the hummer, etc., you would have seen a new way of looking at life instead of the NYC mind-suck you are used to. But then, focusing on business ensures your high fees will be paid for that, what, masters, or hmm, doctorate you have to pay for?
No wonder you are such a cynic...you have sucked the hind tit of the American cultural crap machine, it truly must be tasting good at this stage of your meaningless existence and myopic viewpoint.
But then, it was to be expected, from the armpit of American business, culture, and ad-grinding. Glad I'm no longer a part of it, as of 24 years ago.
